Sunshine Stories – November 2026

Warrior Highlight

Meet Edie!

Edie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in January, and since then, ACFC has helped support her family through the challenges of treatment by providing financial assistance and opportunities to create special memories, including recently celebrating her birthday!

Her family shared, ” It was one of the best days of the year. She got to simply be a kid again.”

Throughout her treatment, Edie has remained positive, holding on to her silly, fun, personality. She enjoys dancing, playing tennis, and being a big sister to her baby brother.

ACFC is grateful to support Edie and her family by helping ease the financial challenges of childhood cancer while providing opportunities for Edie to simply be a kid.

Program Highlight

ACFC’s 4th Annual Halloween Spooktacular

Our ACFC warriors and their families came together for our annual Halloween Spooktacular, enjoying an evening filled with costumes, dancing, trick-or-treating, games, crafts, and plenty of Halloween fun!

Families had the opportunity to celebrate together, create special memories, and enjoy a night of fun at ACFC. It was wonderful to see our warriors dressed up in their costumes and enjoying all the festivities!

A special thank you to our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and community partners who helped make this event possible. We are grateful for everyone who contributed to creating such a memorable evening for the families we serve!

Donor Highlight

Dahmen Family Foundation

We are incredibly grateful to the Dahmen Family Foundation for their generous surprise donation of $250,000 to ACFC!

This incredible gift will support our ongoing capital campaign, including the sponsorship of a dedicated room at our Resource Center, helping us continue to provide a safe and welcoming space for children battling cancer and their families.

Thank you to the Dahmen Family Foundation for believing in our mission and helping us ensure that no family faces childhood cancer alone!

“My favorite part of volunteering at ACFC is having the chance to participate in Sunshine Visits because they always uplift my mood!” Chantze shares.

Inspired by ACFC’s mission to raise awareness for childhood cancer and provide a joyful environment for families, Chantze continues to make a difference through volunteering. We are grateful for Chantze’s enthusiasm and dedication to supporting our warriors and their families!
