Meet Marcelo!
Marcelo was shockingly diagnosed with leukemia in November 2021. Even before cancer, he faced tremendous medical challenges; he was born prematurely, spent time in the NICU, and was later diagnosed with autism at age five.
Marcelo bravely endured two years of very long intensive treatment and completed treatment in January 2023. Although this marked an important milestone, his journey is far from over.
“During Marcelo’s cancer journey, ACFC was there for our family in ways we will never forget. Your help with rent, gas, holiday support, and the many family events you offer eased so much of our stress,” Marcelo’s mom said. “ACFC is a part of our family, and we are deeply grateful for your support.”

Program Highlights
Family Pantry Shopping
The holidays may be over, but our pantry is still busy! Throughout the month of January, families stopped by to shop for essential goods, taking one more worry off their plates as food costs rise and SNAP benefits and other assistance programs are reduced. In 2025, 9,140 meals were provided through pantry bags and in-person meal services, and it doesn’t stop there. With your support, we can continue showing up for Arizona families in need. Archway Scottsdale + Ball Corporation Donations
We’re so grateful for the incredible toy drive donations from Archway Scottsdale, Ball Corporation, and other generous supporters! These donations provide comforting moments of joy for families facing some of the hardest days of their lives. When warriors and their siblings visit us, they get to hand-pick their own toys in our Sunshine Boutique, creating a custom shopping experience for every family.

Meet Rishima!
Rishima has been volunteering with ACFC for one year, dedicating her time and heart to supporting children with cancer and their families. She decided to join ACFC’s volunteer team because she wanted to make a difference in her community and in someone else’s life who needs support.
“I wanted to be part of something that truly impacts families and brings support where it’s needed most. Volunteering at ACFC allows me to do that.”
One of Rishima’s favorite parts of volunteering is getting to interact with the kids at events and spending meaningful time with the entire family. We are so grateful for Rishima and the dedication she brings to ACFC and the families we serve!
