100 Days of Summer

100 Days of Summer

While school is out, cancer isn’t. Children and families facing pediatric cancer rely on ACFC year-round for comfort, connection, and critical resources during some of life’s hardest moments. Your support helps us be there for them every month of the year.

A gift of $29/month provides critical support.

Warrior Highlight

Meet Sara!

Despite facing ongoing health challenges since birth, Sara continues to light up every room with her big personality and sense of humor. Sara loves being sarcastic, hanging out with her brother, and playing kitchen and caring for her collection of Barbies and teddy bears.

Throughout her journey, ACFC has been there to support Sara’s family with rent and utility assistance, helping ease some of the stress that comes with treatment. Sara also loves attending ACFC events, where she enjoys making crafts and spending time with other warriors.

“ACFC has been a tremendous help to our family. Their support has lifted a significant weight off our shoulders, allowing us to focus on the little joys and truly be present for both of our children during Sara’s most difficult times,” her family shares. “We are forever grateful for ACFC.”

Families like Sara’s remind us how meaningful support, connection, and moments of normalcy can be for families navigating a childhood illness.

Program Highlight

Warrior Wednesday

Our Warrior Wednesdays brought fun and creativity to families all summer long! Throughout the month of June, warriors and their siblings enjoyed a variety of themed afternoons, including ACFC Olympics, Carnival Day, Food & Fun Day, and Creative Arts Day. Families participated in games, crafts, cookie decorating, and an acrylic paint splatter project in partnership with Young Arts Arizona. These special afternoons provided warriors and their siblings with the opportunity to create lasting memories and simply enjoy time together outside of treatment.

We are grateful to our generous partners including Barro’s Pizza, Sweetgreen, Sundt, and Young Arts Arizona, along with our incredible volunteers, for helping make this year’s Warrior Wednesdays such a meaningful success!

Barro's Pizza

We are so thankful to Barro’s Pizza for their continued support of ACFC and the families we serve. Through their recent lunch special fundraiser, Barro’s helped raise critical funds that will directly support Arizona families navigating childhood cancer. We are so grateful for their partnership and commitment to making a difference in our community.

The Finch Family & Bashas'

Thank you to the Finch family for their generous $5,000 gift to ACFC’s Family Pantry and to Bashas’ for providing a matching contribution! Together, their generosity will help provide nutritious food and essential household items to families facing pediatric cancer, ensuring they have access to critical resources during some of life’s most difficult moments. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and commitment to helping Arizona families feel supported, cared for, and never alone on their journey.

Aline Architecture & Del Sol Custom Cabinets

The new lobby desk and treehouse at ACFC are officially complete, and they have already transformed our space into something even more welcoming for the families we serve. Thank you to Aline Architecture for bringing a thoughtful vision to life, Del Sol Custom Cabinets for their outstanding craftsmanship, and Jason Stufkosky for his generosity and support throughout the project. Their partnership helped turn this vision into a reality, creating a space that reflects the warmth and hope families find at ACFC every day.

Meet Sundt Construction!

The amazing team from Sundt Construction recently joined us for Warrior Wednesday, where they rolled up their sleeves to serve pizza and salad to our ACFC warriors and families.

From greeting families with a smile to helping keep lunch running smoothly, their team brought positive energy and a helping hand every step of the way. Volunteers like Sundt make it possible for our families to focus on what matters most—sharing laughter, making memories, and simply enjoying time together.
