Warrior Highlight
Meet Melanie!
Melanie began her journey in 2021 when she was just 9 and diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. Despite the challenges of treatment and hospital visits, her positivity and bright smile always remained!
She loves volleyball and joined her school team this year. She also enjoys painting, with two of her pieces featured in the district art exhibit last year.
Melanie loves coming to ACFC, where she feels part of a big family and enjoys seeing Leo, our sweet K9 therapy dog. “We all feel like family, sharing experiences and giving hope to each other,” her family shares.
Families like Melanie’s show incredible strength, and your support helps provide care, comfort, and community when it matters most. Donate today!
Program Highlights
ACFC's Western Family Fun
Our February Western Family Fun Day was a huge success, with more than 40 ACFC families joining us for our backyard party!
Families enjoyed a BBQ lunch, a line dancing performance and instruction by Scootin’ Boots, grab-and-go crafts, and classic Western games like rope the bull and cactus toss. Our warriors and their siblings also had the chance to meet Nugget, a miniature horse, and dance along with the Arizona Cardinals’ Big Red and cheerleaders.
Events like this provide families with the opportunity to connect and build a sense of community during the most challenging time of their lives. With your support, our families were able to create meaningful memories together.
Thank you to our amazing Sponsors & Supporters for this event!
Westside Concepts & Haymaker, Scootin’ Boots, Arizona Cardinals’ Big Red and Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders, AJSM Photography, DJ Mars, Goof Booth Photo Booth, and ACFC volunteers.
Donor Highlights
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
We are incredibly grateful to Neighbors Helping Neighbors for their generous donation and continued support of our ACFC families. With their donation, ACFC will be adding a new bathroom sink and be making important updates to our art studio washroom, creating a more accessible space for our warriors. These improvements will help make creative time easier, cleaner, and even more fun for the families we serve.
Thank you, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, for helping us make our art studio a place where every child can create freely!
Volunteer Spotlight
Meet Emily!
Emily has been a vital part of the ACFC volunteer team for nearly seven months. Her journey with us started from a deeply personal place, as she has seen firsthand how a cancer diagnosis can impact the people she loves. Because of those experiences, Emily knew she wanted to find a way to show up for those who need it most.
“I really wanted to find an organization where I could offer meaningful support,” Emily says. “I love seeing the impact it makes within families. Between the Sunshine Visits, family events, and fundraisers, I’ve seen how much support it gives and I’m grateful to be able to be part of it.”
We are so lucky to have Emily’s heart and dedication on our team. Thank you for everything you do!
